Crazy though it may seem (or not judging by today's schizo weather...) the new season drops in August and September are a good time to start thinking about your winter coat purchases, before the cold weather actually sets in and the good ones all disappear.
A casual post-work Oxford Street visit last week saw me stumble across this beauty from Zara. Whilst not quite warm enough for the proper cold snaps (it is only 39% wool and lined in a thin cotton) it's perfect for that slightly dodgy autumnal period of chilly days. In the most dreamy shade of pastel pink marl - ideal for nailing the season's winter pastel trend - it looks like the perfect Audrey coat; one can just imagine Hepburn herself teaming it with a black polo neck, capri pants and ballet flats. I love.
