After a week of sunning myself in Ibiza, I returned to the UK and to work yesterday with the all-too-familiar back to school feeling. The shops are now chock full of the new season collections and there's an ever so slight nip in the air first thing in the morning; Autumn is most definitely on the way.
Just in time for the new term comes the launch of Superdry's latest collection. A collaboration between Superdry founder James Holder and contemporary British tailor Timothy Everest, the collection follows the immensely successful tailored range for men launch previously. Featuring a coat, two jackets, two skirts and shorts, the range of core tailored staples echo unequalled attention to detail, superb pattern cutting and the finest quality cloths.
The Town Coat (Top right, £249.99), labelled as 'Agyness Deyn meets Pixie Lott', is an impeccably cut, single-breasted style available in Fishbone, Herringbone and Super Melton Navy with the choice of blush pink or turquoise under collar. The matching skirt (174.99) is also available in Fishbone.
The Rock Rebel (Bottom right, £174.99) is a casual, slightly oversized, two button affair in either Dogtooth or Black. Under the collar is trimmed in leather and a contrasting soft velvet. Inside, a button closure pocket with specially crafted loops allows discreet threading of an earphone cable. Genius.
The Muse (Top left, £174.99) is a sophisticated and sleek style available in Navy Flannel, with a secret Oyster card holder and a contrasting collar in either purple or lipstick pink. The matching slick tailored shorts (£74.99) are the perfectly turned up tailoring for autumnal dressing.
Finally, my favourite, the Country Rebel (Bottom left, £174.99). More lady than ladette, the single-breasted, three button style features a sport jet-ticket pocketand high-cut notch lapel. Luxurious velvet under the collar is a sumptuous addition. Available in Herringbone, Forrest Slub or Super Optical with cobalt or pink lapel. Matching skirt also available in Super Optical (£174.99).
