Though the AW13 ad campaign from Marks & Spencer leaves a lot to be desired (Tracey Emin? Really? REALLY!?) thankfully it would appear that the clothes are doing the talking this season without the celebrity endorsement.
First up is this beauty. A classic black leather pencil skirt is something of a wardrobe investment I feel. Much like the perfect pair of jeans, or the one white shirt that fits just right, a black leather pencil skirt is never going to go out of fashion; look after it and it will last you a lifetime. See, justification right there.
Marks & Spencer's version is one of the best on the high street. Much like the blue metallic version of spring (which I HAVE actually worn FYI...), it's buttery soft and looks ace with the aforementioned crisp white shirt. I'm also thinking it would work with a chunky sweater and my flat black Tommy Hilfiger over knee boots. Leatherfest indeed.
