Love London

You know that feeling when you discover an amazing new brand, so great you want to tell the world about it, even though you're slightly apprehensive to in case everyone buys that one key piece you love and ruins it for you? This is kind of like that... except being the kind, generous person I am, I decided to share my latest discovery with you.

At the recent Pure womenswear trade fair I came across a gorgeous British handbag brand you need to have in your life. Glamorous, feminine and timeless, the Lamb philosophy is 'Beautiful bags for beautiful women'. Inspired by the old school glamour of style icons of the past - think Jackie O and Sophia Loren - classically elegant style are brought up to date in modern colours with contemporary design twists. The company was created by Charlotte Lamb, the fourth generation in a family run British manufacturing business based in Yorkshire, after struggling to find stylish, high-quality bags at affordable prices when working in the city. Established in 1887 by her great-grandfather's clog workshop, the business has grown from modest beginnings and has been producing leather goods for over 125 years.

Leathers are carefully sourced from the highest quality tanneries across the globe and each bag is lined in luxuriously soft suede. The quality and attention to detail of each piece is superb and yet the price point of the collection is surprisingly affordable with pieces ranging from just £40 to £285.

Every piece of the collection is stunning. The brilliant Joanna Tote in grey ostrich print, black snakeskin print or tan leather is the perfect size to become an everyday essential. The Audrey Clutch in white & grey, black & beige or white & tan snakeskin is the perfect evening accessory, but the standout for me has to be the gorgeous Isabella Satchel.

Crafted in matte tan full grain cow’s leather with an animal print pony skin panel, it's the perfect addition to my AW13 wardrobe. Roomy enough to carry all the essentials whilst being conveniently compact, plus it can be worn as a shoulder bag or with a cross-body strap. So chic, and a snip at a mere £140.
