Autumn Eyes

Love London

I've just made my seasonal hair colour change (more on that later) from beachy blonde back to a dark autumnal chocolate, and with it undoubtedly comes a change in make up. Swapping my bronzed summer look for richer hues led me to discover my current favourites for an autumn eye.

Starting with MAC's Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Bare Study (£15 from www.maccosmetics.co.uk), the perfect nude with a hint of pearly shimmer, this beauty insider favourite is a highly pigmented eye colour that goes on creamy but dries to an intense, vibrant finish. After that comes the MAC Pigment Colour Powder in Melon (£17). This loose powder in a soft golden peach can be used in its pure form or blended with a little water to create an intensely metallic eyeliner. Finally, the new L'Ecrin Deux Couleurs eyeshadow duo in Two Spicy from Guerlain (£30, available at www.johnlewis.com)is a dream duo of rich chocolate and sparkling, shimmering copper, the amazing accompaniment to MAC's pigments. Finish with lashing of black mascara (I'm currently favouring Guerlain's Noir G (£36) and the ubiquitous black kohl on the inside of the lash line and you have my perfect autumn eye.
