Penhaligon's Launch Tralala, Inspired by Meadham Kirchoff

Love London

Dynamic fashion duo Meadham Kirchoff have scented their London Fashion Week shows with fragrances from Penhaligon's for the past nine seasons, but this week was the first to use their very own scent.

The latest fragrance to be launched by the iconic British perfumer, one of my favourite brands, is accompanies MK's AW14 collection ‘A Cosmology of Women, Chapter 6, Tralala’

The scent perfectly captures the spirit of Meadham Kirchhoff's fantastical universe; renowned for their opulent and theatrical sets, the AW14 show was no exception. A Tralala-inspired set was created by renowned artist Philip Wiegard, who deconstructed elements from the exquisite packaging of Tralala to create the perfect setting for the show. Tralala is an opulent, hedonistic blend created by Master Perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour, who immersed himself in the designers East London studio to capture the very essence of Penhaligon’s muses. Intriguingly addictive, Tralala evokes the interplay of glamour and retrospection favoured by Meadham Kirchhoff.

Saffron, whiskey, ambrette seed and green violet weave through carnation, orris, tuberose and ylang ylang, layered over soft and supple leather, resins and balsams, dusted with the sensuous and powdery note of heliotrope. Dazzlingly bright and sublimely sensual, Tralala is a beguiling and addictive piece of counter culture couture.

Tralala will launch exclusively at Harvey Nichols stores and online on the 21st of April. Harvey Nichols, 109 – 125 Knightsbridge, SW1X 7RJ. www.harveynichols.com www.penhaligons.com
