I've been a fan of the Smooth You spa since first visiting their original site in Islington, so when I heard news that they were moving East I had to pay them a visit...
Where the Islington premises were somewhat more cosy, the new Dalston Town Spa is a huge, airy, light-filled space that draws you in the moment you step through the door. The 5,000 square foot space, situated right on Dalston Square, brings the feel and experience of a West End spa to East London like no other in the area.
The treatment menu is unrivalled; from hair extensions, cuts, colours and styling to massages, facial, waxing, laser hair removal and slimming treatments, the Spa even offers cosmetic treatments including botox, fillers and Dermaroller. As a one-stop beauty shop there really is no competition in the area. With complimentary champagne, wine, freshly ground coffee and herbal teas offered with every treatment, clients are given a 5 star service from head to toe.
I visited the day before my holiday a few weeks back for eyelash extensions (I've tried them here before and they are the best in the business), a bikini wax and a spray tan with Agi, Smooth You's head of beauty. I have to say, getting a Brazilian is hardly the most relaxing experience a woman has to go through in her life but Agi was wonderful at relaxing me and getting the job done swiftly. With regards to the spray tan, it was perfectly applied and the ideal shade to see me off on my vacay; I've had the displeasure of experiencing tans that are way too dark for me and end up looking a little bit silly, so this was a pleasant change.
If you're in the area, or even if you are nowhere near it to be perfectly frank, Smooth You definitely need to be added to you Little Black Beauty Book of London. It's simply too good to miss.
