Finally, at last, Warehouse has opened a flagship store on Oxford Street. The £1m flagship marks the next chapter of investment for the brand, becoming the fourth 'Urban City' concept store opening in the last year, hot on the heels of Leeds, Bristol and Belfast.
Designed by retail specialist consultancy Brown Studio, the store concept is centred around an urban loft space using authentic materials such as exposed brick work, poured concrete and unique features including a bespoke illuminated staircase and exposed girder work.
Warehouse's Brand Director, Paula Stewart, said of the opening, "London has been a key part of Warehouse's heritage since launching in 1976 and a store on Oxford Street has long been an ambition for the brand. This store will be the ultimate showcase for Warehouse, reflecting the brand personality and offering an inspiring and connected experience for our customer."
Outstanding customer service is at the heart of the proposition, supported by the very latest in omni-channel; from ship to store, multiple payment and delivery options, to a suite of fully transactional iPads which allow customers to purchase their items anywhere in the fully wi-fi enabled store. The majority of the upper mezzanine floor is dedicated to a relaxed lounge environment where customers can browse and transact in comfort.
The store will offer an exclusive collection curated for Oxford Street and showcased in a boutique gallery space to inspire shoppers. For a more personalised visit, there is also a private VIP room and styling experts on hand.
Liz Evans, CEO of Oasis and Warehouse said, "The brand currently trades from a total of 420 stores in 33 countries, with a further 20 new international stores planned this year. 264 Oxford Street ives us a great opportunity to showcase the Warehouse brand to our international franchise partners."
