This my friends, is why I love autumn fashion the best.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not wishing away summer. I love the sun more than anything, I just find summer dressing really tricky; generally, my wardrobe for the warmer months is more appropriate for a Balearic beach than a Camden office (think denim cutoffs, fringed kimonos and a lot of neon...). For me, autumn has always been my favourite fashion season; jeans, boots, cosy jumpers, jackets, scarves, fur and leather - I'm definitely a fan of the rich colour palettes and sumptuous textures than autumn brings.
Upon receiving an email about the new AW14 drop now on the Celtic & Co. website, I couldn't resist having a peek. And there goes my entire August and September salary in one fell swoop...
The British company, started back in the 70s, originally specialised in sheepskin boots and leather goods and has steadily expanded to become one of the largest suppliers of sheepskin footwear and outerwear in the UK. After undergoing a name change last year, the collection now includes sheepskin boots and slippers, ladies outerwear, natural fibre clothing and knitwear, soft furnishings, gifts and accessories. I've long lusted after their outerwear; one of my biggest regrets in life is not investing in the stunning sheepskin aviator jacket they had last winter while I had the chance to.
This autumn's collection is equally as desirable, with sweaters and sheepskin galore. I've picked a few of my favourite new season pieces; I probably won't be able to afford to invest in them all, but I will certainly be adding some of their beautifully made - not to mention wonderful quality - pieces to my wardrobe.
