Early warning – London’s Biggest Dog Show: Discover Dogs at Earl’s Court

Dogs in London - The London Dog Blog

I just received my first email alerting me to this year’s biggest London Dog Show presented by The Kennel Club. It’s on 8th and 9th November 2014 at Earls Court.

I’ve been along in previous years and recommended the event to lots of people – especially those who are thinking about getting a dog and are weighing up which breed might be best for them. At the show you have a chance to get up close and personal to over 200 breeds – and talk to their breeders and fans to gain insight into what they are like to live with.

Plus there’s just about everything you could possibly want to buy from your dog and a whole host of seminars and shows (love the agility displays) where you can participate. And it’s not just for pure breeds – there’s the fabulous “Scruffts: Family Crossbreed Dog of the Year” competition. I’m also rather fond of the charity sections – from how dogs are used in a variety of therapeutic and helping ways through to various welfare and rescue centres - and also the working dogs – including those with the Police.
