It's that time of year when my hair gets dyed a little darker and my make up follows suit. Gone are the golden eyes of the summer months, the peachy blush and the bronzer, in come the smoky purple, green and bronze hues, the subtle nude cheeks and the deeply autumnal red lips.
One of my favourite beauty brands - as much for the adorable packaging as well as the product itself - has to be Paul & Joe. The retro-chic, mix and match packaging gets me every time; who couldn't fail to fall in love with the fact that you can choose you own sleeve for your lipstick? Genius.
The autumn collection certainly doesn't disappoint; lipstick and eye colour cases £7 each) come in prints of foxes, kittens, florals and bears. The Full Pigment Lipstick in Silk Stockings (refill for use with the case, £12.50) is the perfect shade for an autumnal pout, rich and dense without being too glamorous that it's ventures into night out territory. As for eyes, I love the subtle shimmer of the Colour Trio in Le Film (£23, for use with the case), a triptych of heather shades that look great with my hazel eyes.
The only trouble I have with Paul & Joe is actually using it in the first place... it's so pretty I don't want to ruin it.
