Hampstead Tea presents Moonlight Silver Tips

If you’'ve ever wondered what the most expensive tea from India would taste like, then the wait is over! A limited 420 jars of Moonlight Silver Tips, from the Makaibari Tea Estate in India’s Darjeeling province, is now exclusively available, in the UK, courtesy of Hampstead Tea.

Stylishly presented in an artisan glass corked jar and gift box, each 12g jar of Moonlight Silver Tips makes around ten cups of tantalizingly tasty tea. The Holy Grail for tea connoisseurs and the perfect gift for tea lovers this Christmas, each jar costs £50 and is available to purchase from Hampstead Tea directly.

Hand-picked during the optimal conditions of a June full moon night, between midnight and 3am, the harvesting of the tea leaves is made all the more special by its concurrence with the summer solstice, presenting a unique planetary configuration that only occurs once in 108 years.

Established in 1859, the 155-year-old Makaibari Tea Estate in India's Darjeeling province, West Bengal, is the world's first certified biodynamic estate, dedicated to achieving perfect harmony between soil and environment. It is here, where 66% of the tea plantation is undisturbed rainforest with tea growing in harmony with the area's natural ecological system, that Hampstead Tea sources its organic, biodynamic and Fairtrade teas renowned for their clear jewel like liquors and unique health giving properties.
