A New Olfactory Masterpiece from Diptyque

Love London

I'm always baffled by those who wear one scent; my mum has only ever worn the now discontinued Madame Rochas, a scent that is so perfectly evocative of her that I couldn't imagine her smelling of anything else. Now that it's discontinued finding a bottle for her is like gold dust (the last one was located in TK Maxx).

I'm the total opposite, a complete fragrance magpie. At any one time I probably have about 20 different perfumes on my dressing table. There are different scents for day and night, summer and winter, if I'm feeling sexy or girly or a bit down and need a spring in my step - there's a different scent for every situation.

This month saw an exciting new addition introduced to the diptyque fragrance portfolio, a confusion of the senses, an olfactory experience like no other and one that's going straight on the list for sultry, summer sunsets on the Italian riviera.

Eau de Sens opens with vibrant orange blossom, fresh and fruity, reminiscent of a Mediterranean garden in summer. Bitter orange tickles the nose, while juniper berries add a crisp freshness; teamed with sweet angelica and sultry patchouli the combination is a strikingly original and diverse scent, bitter yet with a hint of sweetness and underlying woody, spice. It's fruity, but not as you know it. A must for forthcoming summer evenings.
