Therapy for the Sole at Aman Spa

Luscious London

Winter is inevitably a cruel time for feet; it's a truth universally acknowledged that they are largely ignored throughout the colder months only to escape from their hibernation come April, ready for delicious spring shoes, looking like something out of Lord of the Rings. Thankfully, The Connaught Hotels' Aman Spa has created the foot treatment to end all foot treatments, designed to ensure one has a spring in one's step right through the wintertide.

The Winter Sole Therapy combines an indulgent pedicure with reflexology and meditation in a two hour package. Though I'd recommend getting there a little earlier if you're booking as you won't want to miss the use of the subterranean pool and steam room.

Starting with an instantly relaxing foot bath, with essential oils, Himalayan crystal salts and a cleansing tea tree wash, you'll then move on to a 30 minute period of meditation, a chance to seriously unwind the mind and take a step (no pun intended...) away from the outside world.

It carries on with reflexology, aiming to treat the entire body, incorporating mind and spirit; deeply relaxing and restorative, I challenge you not to nearly doze off, cocooned as you are in a plush robe and under a blanket, it's the ideal solution to the worries of modern life. The final stage of the treatment is a toenail buff and polish, leaving you tootsies dazzling. Two hours seems like twenty minutes in the end, but nevertheless you'll leave relaxed, revived and with a veritable spring in your step - guaranteed.

The Aman Spa Winter Sole treatment is priced at £170 and last 2 hours. To make a reservation call + 44 (0) 203147 7305/6 or email: [email protected]
