Beat Blue Monday with Island Poke & Chotto Matte

Love London

Apparently today is officially the most depressing day of the year. Yes, Blue Monday is upon us.

This year Island Poké has teamed up with Soho restaurant Chotto Matte however to give us all a helping hand with their Beat The Blues Poké Bowl, part of the latter's new chromatherapy inspired menu.

The new bowl of beauty embraces the very best of Nikkei cuisine while raising money for a good cause; 25p from every £8.95 bowl will be donated to Mind - the mental health charity - to support their #blueanyday campaign.

Designed to help revitalise diners throughout the dreary winter months, this mind-blowing bowl is an extension of Chotto Matte’s chromatherapy inspired menu, and features a spectrum of high-spirited colours relating to the body’s chakras. With a shared history between Poké and Nikkei cuisine, both have benefited from a Japanese influence, resulting in a fresh and vibrant bowl of food. Poké lovers can raise their chopsticks and vibrations, whilst submerging their senses with a fresh Red Jalapeño Sea Bass Ceviche, Den Miso Padron Peppers, Yuzu Mayo, Burnt Corn Salsa, fresh Mango Salsa and Crispy Peruvian Corn Kernels.

The bowl is available at all Island Poké sites now. Visit www.islandpoke.co.uk to find your nearest.

As if that wasn't enough, Island Poké has also launched a West London pop up at iconic restaurant, Kensington Place W8. Having first opened in 1987, Kensington Place has since established itself as the first modern British brasserie in London and fair to say, a west London institution.

Located adjacent to Kensington Place restaurant in their ‘fishmonger’ next door until 17th February, the pop up offers their full menu including their signature Classic Ahi and Yuzu Lomi Lomi. Guests will also be able to build their own bowl or choose from one of the rotating guest bowls.
