London's favourite blow dry bar has opened its latest outpost in the very swanky new Islington Square development. If you've not recently visited N1 there have been changes afoot, and Duck & Dry is one of many shiny new establishments that have opened their doors in the postcode's newest retail and dining hub.
The brand's largest space to date features its biggest Duck & File nail bar, a dedicated group table, prosecco bar and a very instagrammable 'duck pond'. Guests will find their iconic menu of classic blow dries and up dos - having carried out 150,000 since the first outpost in Chelsea opened in 2014, they're certainly the experts in that field - as well as a menu of nail treatments, in which I indulged during my visit this weekend.
Having moved house a week prior, let's just say my hands were in dire need of some TLC. The on point nail tech (who, depressingly, I learnt was young enough to be my daughter...) whizzed through tidying up my cuticles and applying a luscious autumnal red nail manicure, while I enjoyed a chilled glass of prosecco and a nothing short of excellent soundtrack of tunes. It's a shame Saturday nights out are on pause, for the new Islington space is the perfect location for some pamper time with the girls and a little tipple (prosecco £5 a glass... yes please!) before a night on the town. Nevertheless, I'm sure this place will be packed out before long as its excellent menu - both of hairdos and prosecco - will prove too tempting to resist.
