THREE OF THE BEST: LITTLE TREATS FROM CRABTREE & EVELYN

Love London

Crabtree & Evelyn is a beauty name I’ve long been a fan of, but since the brand has something of an image overhaul last year my love has grown.

Gone are the traditional yet ever so slightly twee botanical illustrations and in their place is a slick new look. With sleek, matte, mono colour packaging and simplified fonts and illustrations it feels a whole lot more grown up, ready to appeal to a new audience. I’ve always had some favourite products, but there are a couple of newbies thrown into the mix that you’re going to want to add to your payday shopping list.

The Gardeners collection was always a hit - I’ve bought the hand scrub and hand cream for my allotment-loving Dad many a time - but the new look Gardeners Harvest Hand Cream (£20.50/75ml) is a dream. With its herbal scent and trio of nutrient-dense hydrating seed oils (Borage, Chia and Sunflower) its intensely moisturising without leaving a greasy finish. A must have in these times of chapped hands.

The Coconut and Sandalwood Body Balm (£27.50/100ml) feels (and smells) like a decadent dose of holiday for the skin. Inspired by the traditional ceremony of Galungan, it’s an aromatic celebration of Bali, a nourishing buttery balm that melts on contact with the skin. It’s a dreamy combination of coconut oil, the indulgent scent of sandalwood and moisturising murmur butter to lock in hydration.

The new Nourish + Renew Lip Balm (£14.50/3.5g) has become another essential, always close to hand over the next last few weeks. Its potent combination of vitamin E, shea butter, apple extract and blackcurrant seed oil helps to create intense moisture and protection for the lips, leaving them soft and protected, a must at the moment. I’ve already restocked for when this one runs out, such is my new found reliance.

With a veritable feast of other products waiting to be tried, next up on my shopping list are the Spiced Honey Bath Syrup (since long, languorous baths have become the norm since the latest lockdown) and the Mixed Berry Oil Booster because my face needs all the help it can get right now.
