THE RETURN OF WINGFEST

Love London

This summer, the world’s biggest and most popular chicken wing festival, Wing Fest will land in London for a saucy southern celebration, paying homage to one of the world’s favourite finger-licking bites. London Wing Fest will take place on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th July 2021 at The London Stadium in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The massive outdoor multi-purpose stadium will transform into a poultry-eating, music-thumping, axe-throwing, beer-and-bourbon-drinking space of epic proportion.

Together, 35 different street food traders, restaurants, BBQ teams and pop-ups from around the country will serve a whopping 200,000 wings across the two-day extravaganza in the Stratford district of London. Deep-fried, spicy, baked, sweet or simply the stickier the better - however you like your wings, Wing Fest has got you covered – quite literally. The chicken experts will be showcasing their culinary skills by means of cooking demonstrations and a festival-wide competition, hoping to be crowned Wing King or Queen.

The competition is split into two categories: The Best Buffalo Wing - the battle for who can execute the perfect classic spicy sauce - and The Best Wild Wing, where the traders can let their creativity run wild with flavours and toppings to transform a humble chicken wing into a flavour explosion.

Popular traders such as defending champions, Chicken George ft The Rib Man; London powerhouse, Thunderbird Fried Chicken, and Latino wing purveyors El Polotte, plus many more, will all be competing to win your vote and a place in the hall of flame. 10,000 lucky chicken wing fans will have the opportunity to give their opinion LIVE across the two categories via text. Just Eat will also be back with their VIP area. VIP tickets include wings delivered by a Just Eat rider on foot straight to your table as well as drinks and T-shirts, Perfect for those who want to enjoy their wings in comfort and style.

If you’re a true wing aficionado, then Frank’s RedHot Wing Eating competition hosted by the legendary DJ BBQ is for you, where brave and hungry individuals compete against one another, on the main stage to see who can eat the messiest wings. The ‘Get Heated’ lava wing challenge hosted by, The Food Review Club and Clifton Chilli Club will be causing carnage, with only the brave entering the UK’s hottest wing challenge.

London Wing Fest goers can expect beer from Meantime brewery; musical entertainment from killer DJs as well as live blues and brass bands; plus, fun activities such as axe throwing, and fairground rides aplenty. Dance late into the night with a chicken wing in each hand.
