Burns Night takes place next Tuesday and for those looking to celebrate in style, Fortnum & Mason will be paying a lively and joyous tribute to the life and work of Robert Burns, with an evening at FIELD by Fortnum’s.
A delicious celebration of one of Scotland’s most-famous sons will begin with the honoured tradition of the haggis procession, its address, and finally, its surrender to the plunging blade of the dirk. Guests will enjoy an inspired four-course meal, complete with superb wines and whiskies from Lindores Abbey, with a menu including Scottish classics like Cullen Skink of Arbroath Smokie, Leek and Potato Broth and Herdwick Haggis, Neeps & Arran Victory Tatties with Whisky sauce. Desserts include Raspberry Trifle, complete with Fir cream and Dunsyre Blue cheese, served with Handmade Oatcakes and a delightful Fig & Fennel Chutney, as well as after dinner refreshments of Fortnum’s Royal Blend Tea or 181 Blend Coffee will be served with Tablet and Shortbread.
