A SUMMER TIPPLE ON FENCHURCH'S WHISPERING ANGEL TERRACE

Love London

Why hello rosé season; nice to see you again!

For thos evenings that a sunset glass of the pink stuff is in order though it's perhaps still a tad nippy outside, Fenchurch Restaurant at Sky Garden has delivered with its new Whispering Angel summer terrace, 37 stories up with views across the city. The new offering, available Tuesday - Friday from 6pm through to the end of September, offers diners a chilled bottle of Whispering Angel alongside a spread of delicious bites from Head Chef Kerth Gumbs, featuring the best British ingredients combined with his signature Caribbean flavours and influences from his Anguillan roots.

We couldn't resist stopping by for a taster last week and it's safe to say we'll be back. Tucking into a warming wild mushroom and truffle arancini, dusted with parmesan, delicious native oysters with Vietnamese dressing and marinated grilled artichokes was jsut the start. A plate of sticky BBQ whisky glazed chicken wings were sensational, as were the delicate smoked salmon and cucumber topped brioche fingers and plump cherry tomatoes with burrata. It's a delicious summer spread, full of flavours perfectly complemented by the crisp rosé that everyone loves. It's a little summer oasis in the middle of the city.

Prices with admission to Sky Garden start from £115.50 for two with seven plates served with a bottle of Pale Rosé by Whispering Angel, rising to £159.60 for two with the menu accompanied by a bottle of Rock Angel 2021.
