CITY LIVING AT CITADINES ISLINGTON

Love London

You’d be forgiven for thinking the interiors of Citadines Islington were styled for a magazine, such is their refined elegance. Not your usual style for a city centre aparthotel, but then Citadines isn’t your usual accommodation.

The serviced residence is located in the former Royal Mail postal sorting centre, built in 1907, and tucked just behind the shiny new Islington Square shopping area. It gives guests the independence of an apartment with the comfort of a hotel, offering four different sizes; Studio, Studio Deluxe, One Bedroom Apartments and One Bedroom Duplex Apartments, ranging from 333 up to 570 square foot. As someone currently hunting for a flat to buy, I can confirm this is in fact larger than the average one bed in certain areas of London…Upon checking it to try it out for ourselves, our first thought was how gorgeously spacious, bright and airy our apartment was, with that beautiful aforementioned decor that gives a nod to the area’s industrial heritage.

The well thought out kitchen space comes complete with hob, microwave oven, dishwasher, fridge, kettle, cooking utensils and crockery, with space to work from your own dining table and a spacious bathroom to boot. You’ll find a self-service laundry and dry cleaning, ironing and cleaning service available. It’s definitely a space you could feel at home in if you needed a, well, home from home.

The hotel has a 24 hour reception desk and with high speed wifi, a business corner with computer and printer, and hot drinks available in reception all day, it’s been thoughtfully designed to be work-friendly. A continental breakfast is available daily in the Breakfast Room (at a charge) while a Residents’ Lounge offers a chic, relaxing space of welcoming sofas, and shared spaces for working at.

This is a space that ticks all our boxes. From the ideal location to the elegant decor, helpful facilities and well thought out design, it’s a great addition to Islington.
