EKE OUT THE SUMMER SUNSHINE AT PAN PACIFIC'S ROSEBLOOD TERRACE

Love London

After striking fear in our hearts with last week's weather, it seems that summer is having one last hurrah this week with the return of tempting temperatures, and we know the perfect spot in town to make the most of it.

The City's Pan Pacific Hotel is home to a dleightful summer spot in the form of the Roseblood Summer Terrace. The new star of the French rosé scene (don't tell Whispering Angel...) Roseblood is the product of Château d’Estoublon, a magical 300-hectare estate in the heart of Provence renowned for its exceptional olive oils and wines, and one of the most exclusive venues in the area. The brand has brought a little soupçon of the south of France to the City, with an expansive terrace transformed into a beautiful garden oasis complete with an array of planters and beautiful blooms, along with a sharing meny of delicate summer cocktails, a sharing menu featuring charcuterie, fromage, crudités and Mediterranean flatbreads and of course, Roseblood wines.

For summer sipping, there’s the elegant and fresh Roseblood Rosé 2023, available by the glass, bottle as well as the magnum and jeroboam for those larger al fresco gatherings. Crisp and delicately refreshing, it's the perfect example of Provence rosé and has fast become one of our favourites. Also on the menu is the more complex and mineral Château d’Estoublon‘1489’ 2023 vintage rosé alongside the crisp Roseblood White 2023 and its red, Château d’Estoublon DPO Baux-de-Provence. Wine cocktails, with a certain je ne sais quoi, include The Rose, crafted with Roseblood Rosé, Chambord and fresh berries and The White made with Roseblood White, soda, basil cordial and cucumber.

We popped in a few weeks ago for a couple of cocktails and a sharin board of dangerously delicious French cheeses, locally sourced from Une Normande in Spitalfields Market and a tasty plate of roasted thyme carrots and hummus. With nibbles like a fish finger bao and Boursin cheese frittata however, yo'd be forgiven for whiling away the evening working through the whole menu.

With sunny spots in the City few and far between, the terrace is perfectly located for an afternoon tipple or early evening soirée. Open until 29th September, book online here
