We can't lie, lovely as the heat wave was it was too damn hot to barbecue, so we're looking forward to thr return of some 'normal' summer temperartures so we can get feasting on HECK!'s tasty new offerings. Their range of sausages and burger really are second to none, and with some brand new additions this summer, it's hard to find better barbecue fodder. What we love most is the fact that the whole range is gluten-free, meaning no worries about cross-contamination if you're catering for coealiac guests.
New for 2025 are the Minted Lamb Burgers, made with 100% British lamb, lightly seasoned and with a hint of mint. They are fantastic with a slice of halloumi and some juicy tomato for a real Mediterranean taste. We're also big fans of the newChorizo-Style 97% Pork Susages, a smoky, paprika-spiked sausage full of Spanish flavour that’s perfect for tapas too. We recently squeezed out a packet and used the innards in a rather delicious pasta too.
Of course the classics are also not to be missed. Their Steak & Butter Burgers are impossibly juicy and dangerously delicious, while the
Chicken Italia Burgers are a real favourite, with juicy basil, tomato and mozzarella. It's not just barbecues they're good for thought, with flat sausages perfect for breakfast butties, delicious meatballs for throwing in with your spaghetti and also a vegetarian and vegan range, they are hitting the nail on the head. At £3-£4 for a packet of sausages or two burgers, they aren't breaking the bank either; with such fantastic quality, it's hard to be disappointed at that.
