London's 'In The Soup'

The All In London Blog

Celebrity chef Merrilees Parker and residents of The Salvation Army's Hostel Plus Centres were 'in the soup' today on London's busiest shopping street as they celebrated the launch of Soup Kitchen Challenge Day!

The former homeless residents of the Hostel Plus Centres hosted a 'reverse soup kitchen' and served up free New Covent Garden Food Co. soup to hungry shoppers on the UK's busiest retail street, whilst encouraging people to take part in Soup Kitchen Challenge Day which takes place on Friday November 27th.

Soup Kitchen Challenge Day is the newest date on the fundraising calendar and has created by New Covent Garden Food Co. to support The Salvation Army this winter. NCG will also be creating a special December Soup of the Month, with every carton sold helping to raise even more funds for the charity's work.
