Nestled away at the top of Angel, over looking Upper Street on one side and St. Pancras Station on the other, hides an exclusive gem. An intimate venue like no other in the area.

The Chapel bar is a 280 capacity, split level venue with a large, newly redecorated ground floor bar with designated covered smoking area, first floor Venetian Chandelier Bar and a spacious heated and enclosed roof terrace, with a second covered smoking area.

Established in 1999, The Chapel Bar has grown from strength to strength by hosting high profile corporate events, media launches, wedding receptions, live gigs, clubbing events and private parties. Alex Foley, the proprietor, prides himself in keeping and exceptionally high standard, both of service and delicious homemade mediterranean cuisine.

Private functions have single handedly secured The Chapel Bar's reputation as one of the capitals premier private hire venues. Impeccable service, accommodating staff, intimate layout, beautiful decor, state-of-the-art equipment and, most passionately, our authentic homemade Mediterranean cuisine are what keep our faithful coming back, and the thank-you cards arriving by the bag full.

Its the ideal space for birthdays, wedding receptions, work functions, christmas parties, album launches and more.

I came to the Chapel for the first time last thursday for the launch party of soundclash.org's SHUFFLE!
I was happily surprised throughout the evening... First, despite being crowded, the bar was not that smokey and the vibe was pretty good all around. Second, the drinks were not over-priced, a good point for a venue closing at 1am.
And third, at the end of the bar, there is a proper dancefloor with a very good sound system and that was the best surprise.
Clash Hi-Fi delighted the crowd which skanked and sweat to the sounds of ska, rocksteady, funk, reggae and soul. It was a great night and everyone stayed til the end and shouted for more. Definitely a great night in a good place.
