After visiting the Poetry Place on a Tue. night, open mic evening, hosted by Nial, I have become quite addicted to the expressions, of these everyday men and women. Just raw, non pretentious poetry as the namesake suggests. But, and, unfortunately I have developed a little crush on one of the poets who reads weekly. So I have a few reasons now to hop on a tube heading for the mayhem of Covent Garden. Even though I end up sitting on the stairs, due to the limited size of the venue. Yet I feel this is something greater than a prescribed tourist attraction or a well rehearsed theatre production. The food is simple, available, whatever, I am not fussy, and served with enthusiasm. Worth a visit!!
