The Attendant is a coffee bar located in a former men’s toilets in Fitzrovia. It’s really well done, and the only smell is of the delicious food and coffee on offer. It is tiny, as you would expect, seating maybe 15 people, but doesn’t feel claustrophobic.
Coffee is obviously the big thing here, and they’re keen to emphasize the quality of the beans. They have artisan teas as well, and croissants from £2, brownies from £2.70 and cookies from £1.90.

Built around 1890 and mothballed in the 1960s, the Attendant has been dormant for more than fifty years.
After two-years planning and restoration the old Attendant’s office has been turned into a little kitchen and the original porcelain urinals have become an inspired line with green seating to match the original Victorian floor tiles.
