Kamique cocktail bar and kitchen situated in St Martin’s Lane, Covent Garden brings an East London hipster vibe to the heart of the West End.
Specialising in seriously good cocktails Kamique’s signature drink is the classic mojito - served 10 ways and Cuban style in jam jars. Other favourites include the bespoke Bellini where customers can choose from a range of fruit purées to pep up their Prosecco and the Kamiquitini - raspberry vodka, Fraise de Bois, cranberry, apple and lime with cucumber.
The stylish bar has hints of luxurious kooky chic with comfy leather sofas, high bar stools and exposed brickwork. The palette of funky colours studded throughout keeps it lively, whilst the hidden red room decorated in velvet, leather and dark wood oozes decadence and fun.
Kamique places equal importance on the quality of its food with a British and East Asian influenced menu serving Pad Thai and Green Curry, as well as a range of Gourmet Burgers all home-made using the finest and freshest ingredients.
Its bar menu includes a range of healthy and indulgent nibbles such as Edamame Beans with salt, Goats Cheese, Pomegranate and Walnut salad and sharing platters. With its close proximity to London’s theatreland Kamique also offers a pre-theatre menu from 5pm – 7pm.
On Friday and Saturday nights it’s time to hit the floor as the resident DJ raises the roof with an eclectic mix of tunes from chart, house to old skool funk and for those looking for an exclusive private party area the stylish “red room”can be booked in advance. The unique Kamique cocktail of great drinks, fabulous food and good times make it a one stop shop for a great night out.

All In London Review
We wouldn’t hesitate to head back to Kamique, provided we were ready for a lost night sound tracked by the bleeping dance sounds of Now That’s What I Call Chart Pop 2013.
Kamique is located slap bang in the middle of this strange area. Geared up for fun on a Thursday night, we’re visiting for cocktails and sharing platters. The interior of the bar-cum-club is exactly what you’d expect of a venue lingering on the edge of Leicester Square. Shiny lights, lounge like areas and haphazard, makeshift dance floors all over the place. Spacious yet packed on this occasion, we take a seat in the Red Room at the back. Now, the Red Room is alone and apart, a dining area of impressive sultriness. Covered in red velvet – including the ceiling – it’s a veritable love tunnel.
We share two of Kamique’s sharing platters, large plates that come piled with fried treats – if you don’t like ‘brown food’, look away now. Perfect for bar snacking, there is calamari, sweet potato fries, hoisin duck rolls, fried Camembert, deep-fried battered prawns, chicken satay sticks and onion rings. Greasy? Sure, but thoroughly delicious. The only thing to cut through all that is strong liquor and the cocktail menu is long and adventurous. We try the Aperol Spritz with peach, which is almost too sweet, and we follow it with a vanilla Manhattan. Billed as one of the strongest drinks on the menu, again, it’s too sweet and the syrupy flavour only detracts from the drink. The Kamique Old Fashioned is a pleasant surprise. Carefully prepared, it’s a fine effort for such a busy bar.
All the while we’re here, we are serenaded by the hits of Will.I.Am, Rihanna and most amusingly, Gangnam Style. As stated, Kamique is your quintessential, commercial Covent Garden bar. And with some of the finest service we’ve received in a bar, we wouldn’t hesitate to head back provided we were ready for a lost night sound tracked by the bleeping dance sounds of Now That’s What I Call Chart Pop 2013.

The best staff I have ever come across in a Covent Garden bar, and I've been to a few.
Kamique may be a generic kind of place but it has a good atmosphere and treats its cocktails seriously. We'll be back!
