The atmosphere is rather stayed but lively and impersonal. The service is excellent. As is with any busy bar it can be difficult to find a seat.

Hamilton Hall is popular with commuters. They serve a variety of fine ales and traditional pub food. They also have a cash point inside as well as fruit and quiz machines for those who like to gamble. Seating on the terrace area is provided.
