All In London Review
A beautiful, traditional boozer in an area where there should be more of them
If it weren’t for the big screen being mounted inside a naff, oversized gilt frame on the one wall that happens to be covered in ugly red, flowery wallpaper, then I could happily say that this pub’s interior could do no wrong. Sadly, that happened so we’ll have to look past the oversight and focus on the healthy amount of seating, stunning tiles and huge windows that flood the pub with light. It’s a personal thing, but still, a screen should never be ‘faux-framed’.
Lively during the week, bustling on Saturdays and relaxed on Sundays, The Eagle is blessed with a natural balance. The food is adequate – we ate the beef burger with pulled pork along with the pork and chorizo burger – and does the trick for soaking up the offerings from the bar. Attention has been paid to the range of beer on tap and the selection will satisfy those who like to look beyond the lager.
The Eagle claim that they are “one of the best pubs in Hoxton” in their introductory blurb and I wouldn’t disagree.

Have eaten and drunk in this pub before so thought it would be a great idea to host our summer party there. Big mistake whoever answered the phone had such an attitude I'm not even going to consider it - consider this lost business not only a party but lunchtime, evening and any other times we would have visited as a company or individuals.

What a great pub. Lots of lagers on tap and lots of wine old & new world. The food was some of the best pub food I've had. (severed till 10pm, not 6pm). I hear they have a great Dj fridays from 8-1am who also does a great quiz every sunday from 8pm, one not to be missed. I know i'll be heading back for a few drinks and dinner at eagle.
