Hereford Arms was fantastic to my group in July 2011. I had a dozen teens to feed, and the pub took a reservation for my group, researched possible food offerings (since one is gluten-free and several more are vegetarians or very picky eaters), and serviced us with a smile. Christiana was terrific. Hereford Arms was able to seat my group in their side room - which we learned later that London Pubs cannot typically seat under-age groups without being equipped with a separate area for dining. This place was great and very accommodating. The adults in my group enjoyed typical English Pub fare, and the girls raved about their meals. Prices were right, too! Highly recommended.

I had the most wonderful 40th birthday lunch at the pub on Easter Sunday, the food and dining room service was excellent as was the waiting staff. The menu has a "bio" of the new chef and it really is an interesting read. The manager "Chris" sang happy birhday to me while opening the champagne, he made me and my parents feel very welcome. I'd also like to thanks the next door table for for their gift !
The Hereford Arms is very clean and has a good atmosphere, the staff offer a real sense of genuine old-fashion hospitality that is hard to find in London pubs these days. I would give this place 10 out of 10 & recommend it to anyone, I noticed there was a lot of women in this pub which is always a good sign of a safe enviroment.
I'm so glad I spent the 1st day of my 40th year in this pub. Linda x

I would advice anyone NOT to go to this pub. They no sense of service whatsoever, particularly from the manager who has poor business and people skills.

I went there today to have a drink and use the internet as they write all over the place "FREE WI-FI". As I was having my drink, the internet stopped working. They did not bother to even check what the problem was. However, I stayed trying to make it work from my computer. Then the manager came out and started shouting at me from the bar in a very rude tone "You have to unplug your computer NOW. I am not gonna supply you with power!". I tried to make him reason, and told him that that is not service, I am consuming and paying for it. He kept with the attitude, so I left. No wonder the place was empty at lunch time. For the sake of few more pennies for power, he's losing customers and scaring them away with his rudeness.

What a lack of education... Don't go to that pub...

Dreadful.. extremely poor service.. poor comunication due to some poor English speaker wait staff..Told we would only have to wait 20 minutes for a table for dinner...wound up waiting over an hour!! Only stayed as we had family from the USA..and they did not want us to create a scene.
Such a shame, as it is a pretty pub..and in our neighbourhood.
Never again will we go there.. and we are telling all our friends, STAY AWAY!!
Go to the Drayton Arms for a better pub experience!!

I visited the Hereford Arms 10--05. The staff was very friendly and happy to explain the various traditional English to me. I had the shepherd's pie which was delicious after a day of sight seeing. As a solo female traveler I found the atmosphere was inviting and welcoming, not at all intimidating. I really felt that you received a good value for your money. I would recommend it to anyone; single or family.
