The Greyhound

Reopened recently and I had to take a look having waited since October for the refurbishment to be completed and I have to say I was enormously impressed.
Went with the inlaws for Mothers Day without a table resrevation but was instantly welcomed by the landlord as we walked in, asking us if we were drinking or dining.
We'd been into two other pubs on the green prior to this and had not been noticed let alone served so a good start. Landlord shows us the menus and tell's us table available within twenty minutes in the new restaurant overlooking Kew Green, "Greedies". The menu defied my initial reservations over the name and so we ordered our drinks which were served by a very polite young lady who took the trouble to ask my Mother in law if she was enjoying her special day and that was a lovely touch that went down just right.
Landlord introduces us to the Head waitress and she shows us up to the restaurant well inside the twenty minutes and then wow wow wow from there on in.
A lovely bright room tastefully decorated, overlooking Kew Green on a lovely sunny day. The food was excellent, the atmosphere in a sold out dining room of about 35-36 people was lovely without being intrusive and then the food....
A devine soup followed by a generous Pork dinner and a sticky toffee pudding desert that I dreamt of last night.
A lovely pint of London Pride to round it all off and my missus was delighted her Mum had had such a great day in the lovely atmospheric little known jewel of Kew Green.
