Situated on the very edge of London Fields we have spectacular views across the park, Summer or Winter, and are easily accessible from Hackney Central, London Fields or Haggerston overground and a multitude of buses.
Being just three minutes walk from the Hackney Empire, Oslo, MOTH and Hackney Picture House makes us the ideal meeting place before a concert, gig or other event.
We have all the major sporting events covered with 7 Big Screens. We can also have numerous games on at the same time so no more clashes!
Our two function rooms, one small and one large, are extremely flexible and can cater for any type of event from music to wedding receptions and more. Neither room has a hire fee!
Our priority is a wonderful time and with our warren of hidden rooms, open fires, speakeasy, big screens, ale selection, wine selection, huge decks overlooking over the park and phenomenal menu it’s almost too easy.
A lively pub that mixes DJs, sport, good roast dinners and a surprise petanque patch outside.
In the running for most aptly named pub in London, it won’t just be the pragmatic name that impresses you. Since undergoing a subtle refurbishment in 2010, Pub on the Park has expanded into its basement, which means there are two floors to cope with the crowds who naturally flock to this excellent spot on the corner of London Fields.
Blessed with space inside and out, it’s always a good bet for big groups. Sunday roasts, burgers, fried chicken and steak make sure the menu is packed with pub staples and there are plenty of tables to gather around. Given the space taken up by seating (a significant amount) you might think there would be nowhere to get up and get lively when the music takes over in the evenings on weekends. However, where there’s a will there’s a way and things inevitably tend to descend into dancing to the resident DJs.
Pub on the Park has three main areas that show sport. One is for the crowds outside, utilizing one of the best outdoor drinking spaces in Hackney. Screens inside the main bar play to the pub and finally, a basement room offers a big screen for a more intimate viewing experience. The basement area, known as the ‘Bear’s Den’ was one of the spaces opened up by the refurb and with doors that open out onto the park, it offers a far more serene experience than the liveliness above.
Equally busy in summer and winter Pub on the Park is a destination worth going out of your way for. And with Broadway Market a short trip through the park in one direction and Mare Street the opposite way, its location is more convenient than you’d think.
