Spent the weekend at the rugby and stayed in Hounslow. Decided to walk to the stadium and what a great decision that was. 1st pub was the Albert so we decided to have one drink in there and go on. However the pub, with its traditional atmosphere and decor changed all that for us. The very friendly staff and landlord were as fabulous as the locals that frequents this pub. We were made extremely welcome and ended up staying for 5 drinks!!! Also just had to pop in on the way back from rugby just to make sure!! This is the sort of pub that we are slowly losing from our landscape and yet these pubs are part of our heritage. Next time you are in hounslow stay away from the big brand, uniform, false smiles pubs and go somewhere real. Everytime I now go to watch rugby at Twickenham I will definitely be staying over as the pub was a bonus and made our weekend.
