I live locally to this pub and it used to be a bit of a grotbox, but the new owners have really made something good out of it.
It's now well-decorated with a pleasant atmosphere. The beer is well-kept and there is a good food selection which is well cooked. The atmosphere is pleasant and friendly too.
A club I belong to held its Christmas dinner here and my wife and I went there for her birthday meal as well. Recommended.
