An undervalued boozer. Unstuffy and for now student free, serving decent beer and at weekends live music (often best avoided if not your scene as it is tiny and music loud). Local atmosphere as it is a locals pub. Even get dogs in there. A lovely if noisy spot on the Kings Cross Road but look up Fredrick Street (its on the corner) to see all the different types of Georgian houses built by Thomas Cubit in @1830 to show off his skills. Check out the different windows, balconies, stucco, even doors. Much nicer pub than the huge gastrobars opening up around Kings Cross.
