The Green Man has recently changed hands - unfortunately for the worse. The new landlady appears reasonably on the ball but her husband got into the gene pool while the lifeguard wasn't looking - frankly, this man would be out of his depth in a car park puddle (as indeed would some of the bar staff). While it may be easy to ignore the odd jarring note, it seems difficult to ignore the rapid decline of the food, the doing away with a promising line up of local musical talent twice a week and a pub quiz that makes counting sheep seem like a dangerous sport.
This is lowest common denominator pub running at its nadir.
Putney Heath is a popular place for walkers and The Green Man is a good place to go to quench your thirst. There are two bars which offer bar food and a range of Young's beer. There is also a seating area outside on the pavement. They show major sporting events on a big screen.
