Now, if you're into your cocktails, and you're not one to be swayed by the eye-candy of branded bottles, then London's bar impresario Ryan Chetiyawardana is your go-to man! With a name as long as that, he's now become better known as Mr Lyan (he can't spell Lion) and opened the White Lyan in Hoxton to much critical acclaim. New hotel-bar Dandelyan (he can't spell dandelion either) is his next offering to us cocktail connoisseurs, and is home to a green marble bar no less (have a word with designer Tom Dixon), and dramatic views of the Thames.
Drinks are focussed on innovative cocktails and clever interpretations of British and international classics, all with a botanical twist; flavours and infusions often come from the great British countryside (admittedly not in the immediate vacinity) including fern, wheat, elderflower and hops. Dandelyan aims to be the start of our journey of discovery and inspiration, where new tastes and unexpected combinations can be experienced.
