my nails looked good but I could feel rite away my nails were thin and bendy ..... even after having the shellac applied a week later 2 nails broke .. my nails very rarely break even without shellac on them I went in to talk to [them].. they really don't like complaints at all .. obviously it was my fault and probably from previous technicians I've used!!! I can now after 6 weeks see the line where her girl butchered my nails .. ill have to wait another 2 months or so with nail hardener and super short nails until then!!

Is it possible to give no stars.
I booked a pedicure and on arrival for my appointment was told they would not serve me without a mask. I explained politely I would not wear one, I suffer with anxiety and had a migraine for 2 days. I was told they didn't care it was their policy.
I said I would go somewhere else instead and asked for a refund of the gift vouchers I had been given by my daughter as I would not be back.
Staff refused the refund

I have just had the most awful interaction with Honey from Nailish. I have been once before, great nail job. I had booked a plain pedicure but was strongly advised to have Gell polish as it was quicker, lasted longer etc etc and although I think it damages my nails I was assured it wouldn't and so went ahead. Fine. Good nail job. I went in to have the gel removed from my finger nails £10. Again, fine. I then made another appointment for a manicure, clearly stating I did not want gel, just normal polish. Arrived for my appointment and after shaping polishing etc the technician says "just so you know there is no drying facility here, you will have to leave straight after the polish". I was taken aback, there is nowhere I can wait with nail dryer, I need to immediately leave with wet nails? How is that going to work. I clarified and yes I would have to leave. When I asked what she suggested I do to avoid ruining my nails she replied I should have gels - "like everyone else". I again said I don't this it is good for my nails and I don't want to do that again. I then said my only option is to leave and why had I not been told of this arrangement at the point of booking the manicure or before she got started when I first sat down. Honey the manager got involved at this point and said I should have gel polish, that is what everyone else has, she cant have people hanging around the salon etc When I asked why she offers non-gel treatments when clearly she is not set up to do so she told “everyone has gels”. Again fine. If Nailish wants to only offer gel treatments that is fine and I am sure a better business model as the advertised price for a manicure is £18 but for gel polish it is £35 (+£10 removal) and a much quicker turn around. What I am strongly objecting to is taking a booking for a service which is on the price list, not mentioning this caveat that you will not be able to “hang around” after the polish (therefore rendering the service un-usable) until half way through the manicure when the pressure is then applied to have the more expensive gel polish. When I said this felt unfair I was told I was being unreasonable and should pay for the manicure which I very reluctantly did. There was no acknowledgement, no apology for any “misunderstanding” just repeats that I should have gel and shouting “don’t let her leave without paying” (which I had not attempted to do) I simply said I don’t feel I had got the service I had requested and had been offered.
I am sure Honey will not lose any sleep over the fact that she has lost me as a customer. As she yelled ”you’re embarrassing yourself” And they are good nail treatments, if you want gel, my review is that I was left feeling I had been treated in an underhand manipulative manner by this up-selling strategy and I don’t appreciate that. .

Having moved into the area in December '15 I have been going to The Nailish almost every month since. I have had gel manicures and pedicures and have been so pleased with the results...My nails have lasted for weeks!! The salon is always clean, the service professional and the atmosphere calm and relaxing, equally mixed with a bit of banter amongst the staff
