Awful service, unresponsive and very difficult to deal with.

Poor quality of work and poor, rude service.

We have had to ask them to come back to redo some of the work as it failed to stop the problem they had been hired to tackle. They have been rude and difficult to deal with, not bothered to contact us to rearrange times to repair the work and generally offered a very poor level of service.

I would not recommend them to anyone else.

I have used this company several times and have always found them to be utterly capable, polite and extremely responsive. On friday 13th(!)I had a major leak in my lounge radiator, within literally minutes James (the project manager) was in my lounge with a spanner. He stopped the leak and his swift thinking to also check my basement saved me from undoubtedly much more extensive and very expensive damage - the water had been pouring through onto the wooden basement floor and was speeding towards some artwork. He quickly helped me get the towels and mop onto it. They have since overhauled my heating system so this wont happen again. I shall always be using them going forward and cannot recommend them highly enough.

Avoid Battersea Handyman like the plague! Unprofessional, overcharged and I have had to get in someone to re-do the job as they provided me with a bunch of amateurs. The owner was rude and defensive.

A thoroughly professional job. I live out of London and rent out a house in Battersea. They helped me choose and order a bathroom, kept me updated with developments during the job and finished within the week. I highly recommend them.

I cannot be happier with the works carried out. The guys were lovely and the refurbishment work has made such a difference to the house. Well done and thank you.

I am surprised to read some of the negative comments below. My experiance could not have been more different. Rather than dealing with the sterio type builder they were reliable and very tidy. The bathroom they did looks fantastic. On time and on budget! I could not recommend them highly enough. As a further thought I was recommended them by a friend who had a similar experiance to mine.

This was the worst building company that I have ever used. I have never seen such shoddy workmanship in my life. The guy who was the "project manager" was very polite and gave me confidence to engage then but they left me with two projects uncompleted in terms of an unsatisfactory finish. Do not use this company - avoid!

I have used battersea handyman many times over the years. They have always beem on time (or called if running late). Have been clean tiday and proffessional. They do charge £55 per hour but I would much rather pay for quality. They have recently changed there name to building and handyman and now do extensive building works. They are about to do my extension. I have no hesitaion in reccomending them.

Charged me a huge amount for parts, wouldn't show me the original invoice from the supplier, took about an hour and a half longer than they should have to do the job and then did shoddy work which then I had to have another electrician come and fix. Had a very unsatisfactory conversation with the owner who wouldn't come out again to review it for himself but instead defended his man to the hilt. All in all, not a recommendable service - I would never use them again.

I used battersea handyman to do my bathroom. A very small bathroom. After being charged over £3000 for this, I was very unhappy with the work. What should have taken 2 weeks to do (which I still think was a huge amount of time for its sixe)...4 months later I am still waiting for tiles to be re-done and paint work to be finished.

The project manager did not project manage. When I got home form work, and found mistakes, I was told simply to tell the decorator - whose English was not that good! At the 'end', the project manager still didnt come out to evaluate the work, despite knowing I had issues with some of the finish.

Some work wich was agreed to be done (and indeed Ihad paid for inadvance) was not done (replacing of some wooden panels, painting of a door frame). I am still waiting for this to be done.

To make matters worse, where they have made mistakes and I have been asking them for 2 months now to rectify, they say they will not come out unless I agree to pay their hourly rate of £55. Which is a joke considering its not new work, but work they have not done correctly and need to put right.

They never return phone calls and seem to not give a hoot about customer satisfaction. This has been a massive pain that has gone on for months and months and should have been a very easy decorating job.

I wouldnot use them or recommend them to anyone.
