I bought pedals and shoes from this store. The pedals didn't work with the shoes. They spent a lot of effort trying to convince me that I was the problem.

I insisted. They tried a different set of the same shoes. Those shoes worked. The response? To try and make further adjustments to the old shoes.

The cleats got swapped around and now I have two shoes that work OK, rather than one shoe that worked perfectly and another that didn't. I got done. Don't make the same mistake.

Thank you for your comment - nevertheless I find it difficult to believe that you think I know nothing about customer service, when in the shop to my face you said a number of times thanks for all your help , and you've been very helpfull !!! - In addition prior to you leaving I ensured, and you agreed that the cleats and shoes we fitting/working perfectly and you was happy. If you would like to come into the shop I am sure we can resolve your issue , even if it means a refund - I look forward to hearing from you

Had a wheel rebuilt and chainset replaced on separate occasions. Wheel was *perfect* afterwards and chainset performed extremely well.

I have always have had good advice from these guys. They always try to point you in the right direction and not just sell you something.

They've also fixed minor problems free of charge.

A very good business.

I bought my Kuota racing bike 6 weeks ago and have enjoyed it problem free. The sales person went through all my options throughly (which took about an hour plus) and made various suggestions which I was very pleased with. I am a fussy person but nothing was to much trouble for him even though I changed my mind several times.I got a computer, bottle cages and 2 bottle for free!! Neverthless the most important thing to me was excellent service and depth off knowledge. I would recommend this shop and look forward to returning for my free service and futher purchases.

Just picked up my new Kuota Kharma on Friday and took her out for a few rides over the weekend. It's as perfect as a bike can get.

Got excellent advice on make and model together with the various options, sizing, etc. They showed great flexibility with me changing my mind a couple of times with regards to specs. Once it was ordered, the bike was ready quicker than expected (less than 2 days), the specs are exactly as agreed and the set-up is superb.

I just has a part of my bike fallen off...in research I did all other stores said that the just the labour will be from 11.5-37.5 (evens) and this guy just told me to come over, he took a look, fixed in 5 minutes and didn't charge me at all! even though I did wanted to...
he was very nice and professional, I'm defiantly going back for my bike needs!

Had to use this shop recently for repairs.

They are money grabbing and rude, would not use again. Would rather walk carrying my broken bike than getting it repaired there again.

Also, the shop is almost empty, are they finally shutting down?

If you like bad service and being treated as if you are stupid, then step through their door and they will be happy to leave you feeling insulted, that you know nothing about bikes and are not serious. It's a shame you can leave a zero or fewer star rating.

Used this shop a couple of times, not out of choice.

Rude staff, expensive labour rates, and hardly any stock.

Last time I used the shop I had my bike serviced. Final bill was well over double the quote. Not sure I can really tell the difference either.

As a local we need another bike shop in the area so I don't have to keep going back to this shop.

I have used this shop a couple of times over the years. I find them rude and money grabbing. Picture a miserable black cab driver.

The elder British gent in the shop is one of the rudest individuals I have every had the misfortune to be served by. He lacks the social skills necessary to interact with decent people, serve them and get them into cycling. Bike knowledge gained from doing the same tasks for years does not mean you have earned the right to forgo manners. I have given them several chances over the years in a vane attempt to develop the local bike shop I want to no avail. Having a few high spec frames hanging up on the wall has should not mean you can be rude to people who may not know the all makes but to him it does. There is a reason why this shop still looks squalid after decades of hogging that commercial real estate: they just don't care. There are many other shops in the area with nice people willing to volunteer information about cycling to the public. try one of them for an experience as enjoyable as cycling itself. This place is rotten

Excellent bikes and knowledge although the website is woefully lacking. They build an awful lot of bikes need to start putting up photographs of them.

Superb mechanics in Clive, Joel and others with Dudley and Joel being the best at being able to work out what you may need.

Number 1 Kuota bikes seller in London.
my advice:
a: Get Dudley or Joel to tell you about bikes with their approachable manner
b: get Clive the mechanic to service your bike with his immense experience but do not get him to sell you a bike as customer service skills are not his forte.

Textbook independent bike shop and open on Sundays too meaning you can pick up or get a quick fix on your bike when you are able too.
Have your say
