The worst customer service I have ever experienced, expensive and when I finally installed the roller unit I purchased for my blind, it didn’t even open properly. Really disappointing.

Just had blinds fitted, 2 weeks to the day that the measurements were taken. They look great and I was very impressed by the efficient and friendly service. Gary the fitter could not have been more polite or pleasant. It was all so easy. Would definitely recommend based on experience to date.

Was in dire need of a blind to fit an odd-sized window (i.e; not something from a high street retailer). My neighbour recommended Peter the Pleater and found it to be a fast, efficient and friendly place. My roller blind, in the exact measurements and colour + fittings was ready in just over the hour. Fantastic!
Will use Peter the Pleater again, for my upcoming venetian blind requirements.

My review appeared to be 'cut-off' at 'I give Peter the Pleater....' - wanted it to say I give Peter the Pleater a '10'++
BTW the chap came over to measure-up yesterday - he was very prompt - very friendly - and brought samples as I had requested.
So... 14 years with one set of venetian blinds that frankly still look fine and only buying a new set as we want to change the colour.
Peter the Pleater is very 'down to earth' and produces a high quality product with value for money. I HIGHLY recommend them if you needs blinds.
That's my 2 cents worth...

My wife and I purchased venetian blinds from Peter the Pleater 14 years ago and they still look great. I'm not into writing reviews but I noticed one totally off the wall review here when I checked the telephone number to book an appointment for them to come over to our flat next week for new blinds so I thought I'd write a few words.
After 14 years we've decided to change from a wood colour to white binds. Hand on heart these people are excellent, service is 5 star and the products speak for themselves. After 14 years a 'little dust' is the only problem.

Personally, I would strongly recommend all those considering using Peter the Pleater to ignore all of the negative comments that have been posted on this website so far.
My experience with this company has been nothing but smooth sailing! All of the staff are professional yet still friendly, and the fitters in particular I have found to be exceptionally accommodating. I ordered some blinds for my elderly and disabled mother through Peter the Pleater and she couldn't stop telling me how lovely the man was who came round to measure and fit them!
Therefore, if you are considering using Peter the Pleater, please do! And say hello and thank you from me and my mother! They offer excellent quality products, along with an excellent quality of service.

Please do not use Peter the pleater [EDIT]. We had a fitter come round to tell us what blinds would be best for our bathroom, we picked them out "gloss White", 3 weeks later they were fitted, 1 week later the paint started coming off, they are in a bathroom where they can get water on them also can get damp, we called Peter the pleater, the fitter came round n said he'd never seen this b4 and they were faulty, my girlfriend rang them n they said they'd put in the same ones, but their not the right ones for a bathroom, the lady told my girlfriend that their not right for a bathroom, we're not blind experts that's why we had a fitter come round the house to tell us what blinds would b best for our bathroom. We were told to go to see the manager this Saturday n she would sort our problem out, as soon as we walk in the shop she told us she would see us in court, also she said people come to them to get fittings because their to incompetent to do it theirselves, what great customer service, we went to them for advise also we wanted a professional job done, please think b4 using Peter the Pleater [EDIT], we loved our blinds for about a week, now we've got to go to court to get our money back, and we will, the manager doesn't care because their going bust. I had to give them 1 star, if it was my choice they wouldn't even get that.

The customer who purchased the wood venetians and had the paint peeling was advised strongly against wood as they were wanted for a shower room: All our customers are given the above advise when the blinds are to be situated in a bathroom or kitchen, but no matter what we said they were adamant that was that they wanted.
In hind site I wish I had not dealt with them as the only way they could talk to my manager and my self was by shouting and being abusive and resorting to personal insults.
The customer was fully refunded although there was nothing wrong with the product had they been in he correct environment.
Our company does not advertise and 85% of our business is repeat and recommendation. In fact the person that led me to this rating was a regular customer and id not believe a word.

I have used Peter the Pleater before and would use them again. Him and his partner came to my home with a good selection and was very knowledgable and helpful. It might help if you have some idea what you want, not like me! But I will be using them again very soon.

Getting my blinds from Pete the Pleaters is not someting I would ever repeat!
I would not reccommend them. The products look good, but the customer service is appauling. So if you have a problem after sale, forget it!

I fully understand the comment as there were problems in this year with management's attitude to staff and customer care, basically there was none!
When I found this out I took over the running of the london branch and general overseeing of the company and customer care to me is just as important as a good product or price.
Whoever wrote that, if they would like to come into the shop or call, they will see what I mean.
