Melanie is a true professional. Melanie brought to life my vision for my dress, down to every last detail and she really listened and understood what I had in my mind as opposed to try and fit her style of dress to my vision (which so many designers do!) The quality of the materials and workmanship of my dress are stunning, she really has created a work of art!

I absolutely love my dress (and it was so comfortable yet supportive - again lots of wedding dresses aren't!), and I really enjoyed Melanie's company throughout the whole process of designing and making my dress.

The whole experience was so much more than just having a dress designed and made, it was enjoyable and something to look forward to.

Melanie was friendly, accommodating, professional and very skilled in dress making, in particular with corsetry. Melanie managed to replicate exactly what I had in mind for my dress and brought it to life.

Each fitting was carried out with incredible precision and every detail was explored until I was completely satisfied with the end result. When completed, my dress was everything I imagined and I felt fantastic in it on the day. Highly recommended.

Melanie was fantastic throughout the whole design and production process for my wedding dress. She was incredibly patient, very honest about both the artistic and practical elements of the process, and quick to take on board my thoughts and ideas. The dress that she created for me was elegant and beautiful - and exactly what I had in mind. She is also excellent at the technicalities of her craft. My dress fitted beautifully and stayed that way all day. Melanie ensured that the experience and memories that my dress brought me were perfect.

Melanie was very professional and friendly, and understood very well what I wanted in a dress. I had regular fittings, so it was exciting to see the dress take shape.

Melanie was simply the best dress maker any bride could wish for! She is very honest and upfront about the cost and works to whatever budget you have and achieves the results you want. My big day was perfect, partially because I felt really good about myself and the dress was a big part of that. Everybody commented how nicely it flowed and turned out exactly the way I wanted/imagined it, I could not be happier! Melanie was there for me all the way and listened to my concerns and suggested solutions i.e. where to get the best underware etc. I can't describe properly how grateful I am and can only recommend any other bride to trust her to make you your perfect dress!

I have always had difficulty finding clothes that fit really well. I looked in various bridal shops and would like part of dresses only! I visited a number of dressmakers before finding Melanie on the internet. I went to visit her on a Saturday morning and new instantly that I wanted her to make my dress. I could tell that she understood what I was seeking (even though I did not have a complete plan in my head at that time) and she had great suggestions which she could show me (she has her own range which is great to try on to get some ideas).

Melanie had meticulous attention to detail in designing and making the dress. Her lovely studio in a quiet part of London was also a bonus. The Canon at the wedding commented that it was the best wedding dress he had seen in many, many years! Moreover, I felt extremely comfortable in my dress, which is definitely a rarity with me and clothes. I would recommend Melanie to make this part of your wedding stress free. A bespoke dress is something really special.

I was so lucky to find Melanie through a Google search. I was looking for something very specific, a 50s style full circle skirted dress, and I just couldn't find in the regular wedding shops at what I felt was a reasonable price. Melanie completely understood exactly what I was after which was a huge relief! Melanie's sense of style is second to none: you only have to see the stunning gowns that adorn the mannequins in her studio. The level of service I received was faultless and nothing was too much trouble for Melanie. I was very fussy about the lace that I wanted and so Melanie had endless samples brought in for me and helped me to make my final decision: I am quite indecisive at times and need guidance! Melanie is known for her skill in corsetry and I now know why: I often see brides having to pull up their dress throughout the day through ill-fit but I had no such problem. Everything fitted beautifully: such a cliche but I really did feel like a princess! I would not hesitate to recommend Melanie if you are looking for something bespoke or something from her gorgeous line of dresses. Melanie is friendly, professional and a perfectionist: exactly what you need when you're making the most important purchase of your life!

I just LOVED... my dress was exactly what i dreamed. She always came up with great ideas, she is very friendly and professional i had so much fun every time that i went to meet her. My weeding was in Brazil in front of the beach and my dress was a beautiful.. i loved my big day and i would recommend Melanie.

Melanie's studio was the first place I went to and the first dress I tried on, after seeing it on the website, was "the one". The dress she made was stunning and fitted like a glove. The whole experience of picking it, and the fittings was made very special, and made myself and my best friend quite emotional. The dress looked gorgeous all day and the train hooked up for dancing in the evening. I wouldn't bother going anywhere else but Melanie's studio!

I would definitely recommend Melanie for bridal couture. I had a design in mind for my bespoke wedding outfit and Melanie created it exactly. I felt very comfortable going to Melanie and the fittings were all part of the build up to the big day. Melanie is professional but friendly and very talented. My wedding day was amazing no small thanks to her.

I had a winter wedding in January (2011) and used Melanie to create my dress.

I saw some nice dresses in bridal's magazines and so on but could not find 'The One'. So I took some ideas that were in my head, downloaded some pictures from the internet, went to Melanie, and she put it altogether in a sketch. It was an amazing feeling to look on something that was unique to me.

It took around four months and it was very exciting to go to the fittings and see it taking shape.

In the end I was very happy with the result. I would recommend Melanie to my friends and feel a bit sad that it all over for me!
