My Dad just bought the most expensive MDF shelves in the world. Paid over £70 for 2 shelves (95cm x 35cm). Unfortunately I wasn't with him to stop the purchase.
After calling to complain the salesman said they are made from 'Oak MDF' that costs over £100 for a 2440 x 1220 sheet, yet a google search for 'Oak MDF' shows no results except for veneered oak on MDF.
Make sure they explain what type of MDF they are selling you as we could have bought a sheet of ordinary 2440 x 1220 MDF for £40 at B&Q. I'd like to think they were not taking advantage of my elderly Father but this just seems extortionate.

We have just had a staircase replaced with traditional softwood spindles, new posts and bannister. The service was prompt, clean and of very high quality. We were happy with the work and would re commend the shop to anyone. Thanks Martin!
