I’m so upset with the work that has been done on behalf of my insurance claim. A car hit my wall and deposited engine oil over my block paving driveway.

I was told that there were only 4 types of brick that were close in style to choose from. None of them matched, so I picked the best I could. My wall now looks terrible and I need to have it taken down and rebuilt at my own expense.
What I didn’t realise that there are a vast number of bricks closer to my original bricks, on a well known building supply site. It feels like I have been fobbed off. It seems that they only want to use specific bricks.

The bricklayer originally used some of the bricks that had come down, but the standard of brickwork was terrible. So much so that they had to take it down.

In addition they originally tried to put a pale grey blocks to replace my charcoal oil covered blocks. This has all been traumatic.

I will be changing my insurance company in the hope that I never have to go through this again.
