Trying to contact my main branch is so very exhausting.

The attitude is not about going that bit extra, mostly it is about trying to get the customer to use on line services. sadly it feels after thirty years the nationwide has lost it's way, When someone joined all those years ago it was about being part of it, no longer, sadly.

Very disappointed. Have three (3) accounts with Nationwide including an ISA. Just received an annual statement showing I get 0.5% interest. With the building society that is supposed to look after its stakeholders, this is derizory and pathetic. I tried to call my branch in Hammersmith and the 020 number has been discontinued. No one answered on the the suggested computerised answerphone on 0845 266 0249 - pay number. So I had to call another 0845 pay number. When I got through, the gentleman who answered did not know why the clients have to pay for the calls but explained that if I want to increase interest on my ISA, I must visit a branch. Twickenham branch was not available - too many people asked to come in, so I have to go to another branch - why can it not be sorted on-line or over the phone?

Is your experience just as poor from Nationwide?
