Kola Butchers

I recently went to Kola Butchers and asked for a BEEF tomahawk steak. The head butcher gave me the tomahawk but didn’t mention it was a VEAL tomahawk steak, not normal beef. I only found out when I cooked it that it was white inside and has a completely different taste than beef (I even thought it was pork at some point, the taste and texture was so different from what i expected). I called him and he was extremely rude telling me their is no difference between Veal and traditional Beef steak (which is ridiculous) and even said I should "test the DNA" if I don’t believe him that the veal was the same as the beef. There was no attempt to rectify the situation and admit fault, instead telling me that veal was better than beef, when I wanted the beef. This service was unprofessional, misleading and I now question the butcher's expertise and credibility when purchasing cuts of meat from him.

Chicken skewers had gristle in it, and lamb was very fatty. The prices are £££££ would expect high quality meat if paying them prices.

I wouldn’t recommend went in there for lamb shoulder we’ve been given a lump of fat ? isn’t even cut properly my dad is a butcher and he is horrified thought we would try local turns out we was wrong Iceland it is
