I was really disappointed by the food. The service is friendly, the garden lovely and well tended, a perfect spot, beautiful. But the food was ...well...not good. We had a poached salmon and spinach gratin. It came as a sort of oily soup served in a pie dish, covered in yellow melted cheese sauce and more oil. The salmon was floating in it, and the poor spinach was at the very bottom, suffocated. My friends chose two different things. One had a carrot cake which was so rich he couldn't finish half of it, but which was ok. The other one chose a strange dish: chicken pie with cous cous. The cous cous was hard and rubbery and the pie very bad. It looked like a soup. They had placed the "lid" of puff pastry on the top, like a biscuit, and it was cold and hard. I really don't understand...such a lovely place, what a a pity. I'll certainly go back for a cup of tea or coffee as it is so friendly and pretty, but I don't think I'll eat there again.
