This restaurant serves the best thai food I have eaten in London, the food is fresh and served just like it is in Thailand fresh and no frills. The taste is original and it is reasonably priced.

We went here for my daughter's 18th birthday for a family meal.
From the moment we stepped through the door we were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble.
The food was amazing and the staff were so lovely, very friendly and attentive, but not in an overbearing way.
The decor is very basic but this just adds to the experience. Good atmosphere and was full on a Tuesday evening!
Prices were more than reasonable, very varied menu and amazingly lots and lots of choice for vegetarians.
Can't recommend this restaurant highly enough and will be visiting again

I live abroad now but eat here whenever we're in the UK. Food is fresh, tasty, authentic Thai food.
I've traveled the world and this is one of my favorite 'eateries' anywhere!
As another reviewer pointed out - it's called the Thai Cafe for a reason. It's actually just like being in a restaurant in Thailand. Simple tables, nothing fancy, but - you come here for the food. And it's consistently excellent.
And the people are lovely as well.

I have been going to the Tamarind Thai Cafe regularly for over the last 8 years. The food is consistently of a high standard and the service is always friendly, polite and efficient.
This is a cafe, not a restaurant, the result of which is high quality meals using very fresh ingredients at very good value.
Lunch times can be busy and not always possible to get a table. The service is very quick which is good when you have to get back to work.
Evenings are more relaxed.
My favourite dishes are Goong Yang, Red Chicken Curry, Salmon Kaprow and Spicy Noodles. Would highly recommend!!

Was so incenced by the negative spiteful review above that I joined this website. This is the best thai food I have eaten at. The restaurant is not luxurious as the name suggests but the food is excellent and good value.
Amongst my favourite are the Som Tum a spicy salad for starters, Pad Kratiam and Gang Penang. Not many deserts but try the banana & ice cream pud it's delicious.
I also love the Gisselbrecht Alsace Gevurztraminer not too everyones taste but I think it goes perfectly with the food.
And the service is really friendly.

Food was tasteless, and all done in a hurry, felt like I was in a Fast Food chain, rather than a Restaurant. It is cheap but I suppose you get for you pay. Never Again

Outstanding Thai food in a friendly no-frills atmosphere. We often go here for the lunch menu, most (if not all) meals under £5, served quickly and absolutely delicious. A gem of a place, Pad Thai is my favourite but the Kaprow also very good.

Best kept secret in Hertfordshire. Shhhhsh... don't tell anyone but this place
serves exceptional authentic food at very reasonable prices. Don't expect designer table cloths or fancy wall art though.
