Ray Moss

I read these two reviews and wondered, in conclusion, if these two reviewers had confused Ray Moss Autos with another garage. If they have, it seems unfair and unkind on so many levels to review in this manner. I was fortunate to learn of Ray Moss in 1984 and never used another garage afterward. Ray was honest, straightforward and priced all he did reasonably. I was overjoyed to find an honest mechanic.. When Ray moved his repair shop next to John Martin's in Hornchurch, he expanded his workforce by adding his son, Paul. From the off it was apparent that Paul had the same work ethic as his dad. He, Paul, took over running the business when Ray retired and has taken it from strength to strength ever since. I have passed on his name to so many friends since and it pleases me to know that they have done the same, too, Paul and Mike do not, In my opinion, deserve these two negative reviews. They carry on the business that Ray set up and has left in the hands of a kind, honest, reliable and highly skilled son. Paul's partner mechanic, Mike, has the same work ethic and they work in partnership looking after their customers. You will see that I live in Warwickshire. When possible, I still return to have my car looked after by Paul and Mike. If you choose to use them you will be looked after to the highest degree. Thank you Paul and Mike for bringing integrity to a profession sadly lacking in it in many ways

I feel I have been taken advantage off! . I went in with a sloshing noise near my dash. I was called to say car was fixed. They replaced my coolant tank at a cost of 80 quid. As I sat in the garage forecourt and started my car you could still hear the same noise???... Why was I told it was fixed when it clearly hasn't!!!.... I feel like I have been taken advantage of. I'm not confrontational and couldn't face them and drove home in tears. I was also told my rear bushes needed replacing at a cost of 800 quid!..??? What? . I have just had them fixed in another garage for 250!!! Absolutely shocking. Sorry to say but I won't ever be using them again. Absolutely disgusted!

Poor garage, did work on my air bags and then when I had a fault come up charged me to look at the fault and provided an insufficient diagnostics report just wrote on a piece of paper that there was no fault found
